¡UN TIBURÓN PREHISTÓRICO EN NUESTROS MARES!
Mitsukurina Owston, también llamado Tiburón Duende es un fósil vivo que proviene de la época de hace 125 millones de años.

Hace 125 millones de años estaba el Planeta en plena época Mesozoica en el Periodo Cretácico cuando África e India se separaban de la Antártida y cuando el nivel de dióxido de carbono en el planeta era de 550 a 590 ppm. En esta época también comenzaron a aparecer las primeras flores con polen.
Este tiburón prehistórico vive en el Océano más profundo ya que habita a una profundidad de más de 100 metros donde están situados los océanos continentales, los cañones submarinos y los montes submarinos del Planeta. Este Tiburón Duende se extiende por los océanos Atlántico, Índico y Pacífico principalmente y casi nunca por la superficie de los mares y sí por sus profundidades marinas.

Su cuerpo es muy característico, empezando por su larga nariz hasta el color de su piel que es de varios colores entre el blanco o gris al rosa, dado que tiene la piel algo transparente y por eso parece de color rosa, pues más bien lo que se aprecia es la circulación de la sangre sobre la superficie de su piel y por eso ese color tan característico.
Su tamaño puede llegar a medir entre los 3 a 4 metros de largo y a veces hasta más largos. Esta especie caza de teleósteos, peces, cefalópodos y crustáceos ya sea en el fondo marino como en las corrientes continentales.
