Como individuo sería, seguramente, como cualquier persona con sus puntos fuertes y sus puntos débiles; pero a nivel general, poseía unos definidos principios, inspirados desde su cautiverio y forjado sobre la situación de su país.
Pero nos podríamos preguntar:
· ¿Qué generó su paso por la cárcel?
· Ahora se llora su pérdida, pero ¿Por qué se interpreta como un ejemplo de lucha por la igualdad humana?
· ¿Qué motivó que se convirtiese en un Ser tan carismático y en un superhombre?
· ¿Por qué tras su muerte se vuelven a plantear fórmulas de cambios en la sociedad mundial?
· ¿Por qué es un ejemplo a seguir por muchos representantes políticos?
En la cárcel de Robben Island estuvo preso durante 27 años por el delito de complot y sabotaje contra el estado; por eso fue acusado de terrorista.
Su paso por la cárcel, le dio a Nelson una autoridad y una potencia política que él, finalmente, había impulsado hacia el perdón y la reconciliación.
Durante los 27 años de presidio, obtuvo una integración interior y reconciliación entre sus sentimientos y sus pensamientos de tal manera que las fundamentó en abrir ventanas y luchar por la justicia y la igualdad entre los hombres de color y los blancos.
Una vez salió de la cárcel, dedicó su tiempo y su esfuerzo al “entendimiento” de la parte contraria, es decir, se puso en el lugar “del prójimo” e intentó entenderlos a fin de conseguir un punto de contacto intermedio.
Sus actos de reconciliación se fundamentaron en la empatía, el entendimiento, el perdón y las negociaciones inteligentes e igualitarias. Utilizó como herramientas su gran paciencia y una gran capacidad de perdonar.
Esta fórmula y manera de comportarse provocó que el público, la gente, el pueblo, los políticos y en general la comunidad política internacional, se diesen cuenta de que existían otros procedimientos de hacer política y de generar paz y estabilidad en la población.
Su ideal, fue siempre, una sociedad libre y democrática; basándose en la armonía y la igualdad entre los individuos, con las mismas oportunidades, todo bajo el manto del perdón y la búsqueda de nuevas vías de encuentro.
Él se enfrentó a los gritos de venganza y críticas que clamaban por la situación de desigualdad; pero su enfoque energético se dirigió a sofocar la ira de la población que reclamaba venganza y castigos a los contrarios.
Ahora, se replantean nuevas fórmulas de cambiar la sociedad, pero la finalidad es conseguir que los Derechos Humanos, La Igualdad de géneros, La no violencia contra la mujer y combatir la trata de seres humanos para su explotación, sigua estando de actualidad.
¿Se trata de falta de interés de las élites y líderes del poder, por lo que no actúan?
Cada individuo, en sí mismo, es un universo y él puede imponer sus propias leyes de respeto, equidad, igualdad, y amor hacia el prójimo; esa debería ser la “fórmula individual” para fomentar, aumentar y generar el aumento de porcentajes para la viabilidad de la paz, la armonía, el perdón y el entendimiento en todo el planeta, fórmula de aumentar la conciencia de la humanidad y del individuo.
